Ipod to Skoda - cable

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

Well it was a sad moment, I sold my trusty superb, an 03 1.9 tdi elegance with 153,000 miles on the clock. bought nearly 7 years ago with 72,000 miles on the clock. Sold on autotrader in less than 24 hours.

So less of the old, and more of the new. Replaced by an octavia estate, vrs cr tdi 62 plate with only 4,000m on the clock and just 6 months old.

Query is this, I have seen advertised the ipod connection cable, linking the ipod to the car, through the aux connection. Genuine part and I understand that main dealer would like £35 of your hard earned golden nuggets for it. However is this cable as good as it appears to be. Does it charge the ipod as well?

I can pick them up for a lot less (e.g. amazon), genuine package etc, hence the question.

Has any experience of using this?

Happy Driver

Is it not just a phono lead? 3.5mm with no power

The cable you need is this audicable.jpg

however it requires an MDI kit in the car, this cable will fully integrate the ipod with the bolero/columbus and charge it.

However if you don't have an MDI socket in the glove box your option will be to just use a standard 3.5mm jack cable through the aux socket which wont charge the phone or anything like.
