I have an L&K registered in 2016 and have the little lidded space in front of the gear stick for putting my phone in.

 

One thing that has bugged me for ages is that the usb charging cables are too long and snag the sliding cover as it closes and my new phone is larger and fits snugly in the space but struggles when the USB cable is plugged in.

 

Well, after 3 years of searching I found this

and ordered one. Being only a few quid I thought it was worth the risk.

 

It arrived this week and fits beautifully. The big USB plug connects to the socket with a fraction of an inch sticking up and the other end fits the phone and doesn't make it too long to close the lid.

 

I guess there are others on the market but the one I went for seems to fit the bill perfectly.

Looks great, might have to order one of those.. 

I went for something similar to that a couple of weeks ago, Link to amazon. Convieniently the cable turns the right way out of the connector which was a worry.
