2 or 4 wheel geometry set up after lowering?

Featured Replies

A couple of questions for all of you out there in briskoda land.. next week i'm lowering my 2011 fabia tsi hatch on 40ml h+r springs. one of the questions i wanna know the answer to is, after lowering it obviously i need the wheel geometry set up again but is this a 2 wheel or 4 wheel geometry because i don't think there is much adjustment in the rear of my car if any, another thing is i hear a lot of people putting in shorter drop links when they lower their cars, will this be necessary in my case? or is that only when you really slam it to the ground? waiting on some advice on both questions. cheers      p.s. would it be better to let the car  settle for a while on the new springs before getting the geometry set up..??

I was asking this question for the same purpose with a mechanic from a VAG specialist last night. He told me there is no adjustment on the rears so just a front wheel laser alignment is enough. People go for Mondeo drop links but that really only when slammed to within a fag paper I think. I'm due to do mine at the weekend, what I'll do is brake hard a few times and then go to get an alignment done.
