Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've seen some chatter on this not working for most, I selected the adaption yesterday and promptly forgot about it...

It worky

Also after a number of ignition cycles it's still there.

The dashes are the set speed when the cruise is set.

That's pretty cool, wish I had maxidot :( next time

I tried this on the Yeti but it didn't worky. Maybe a different setting on the maxidot is needed?

Whats the coding? My old Golf MK6 had this and miss it on the Octy

Have tried this but no luck or I haven´t looked where I should

It's under adaptations. Only works on (some) petrol engined cars though.

ah cars a 2013 vRS CR DSG. I can live without it; strange that it only tends to work on some petrol cars though as my Golf was diesel.

Mine is a PD140 so the   fuel and it works.

That is interesting Nick, yours Is the 1st (diesel) Skoda that I have heard this to work on. What controller is fitted?

The central electrics controller?

Is it in adaptations and not coding?! What is the exact adaptation called? It might be worth a try on a CR Thanks

I tried it on a Yeti CR and it did not work. Maybe the instructions are wrong?

Display Cruise Control Speed:

Display the speed set for the cruise control in the bottom left corner of the MFD

This mod will show the actual speed, not the speed shown by the speedo (accurate within 1 km/h). The speed is visible when the cruise control is switched on and the car is moving, otherwise the total driven distance is shown. If the figures are small it means that the speed is set but the cruise control is not active, if the figures are big (as in the image above) the cruise control is active.

Instruments - 17
Adaptation - 10
Control Display  select "Active"

Like James I said ;)

nice find, will have a look at mine tomorrow

Would love to get this working on my Blackline. If anyone does let me know how.

If it didnt work on a FL maxidot car id be suprised, my 59 plate Golf had it; expect both cars have similar controllers if not the same

Not working on my MY13 TSi VRS either.

Just tried mine

allows you to change the adaption from: not active to active but doesn't display

which makes me think it is to do with the engine ecu that sends the signal to the cluster

a bit like the gear change prompt

Mine didn't appear straight away as I forgot I did it.

I changed the adaption Tuesday night and didn't drive the car until Wednesday evening and because I left the cruise switch on I spotted it as my mileage had disappeared.

Is it like the lane change light flash that didn't trigger from 3 -5 until a factory reset? Maybe turn cruise off on the stalk and then back on again?

In fairness some coding changes arent instantaneous. When i had the BT done on my Amundsen + the maxidot integration didnt work to begin with but after driving the car home, parking it and locking it for an hour or so it then worked.

I think upon turning off the ignition and locking the car the ECU goes to sleep after a period of time and next time yo7 unlock and switch on the ignition its like performing a reboot on a computer.

For those who it hasnt worked dor recommend leaving it coded and seeing if it springs to life.

I will try a factory reset as the 5 flash indicators did not work on the Yeti either.

Presuming this isn't on the pre-fl maxidots?

I changed it from inactive to active and it didn't work. The 5 flashes reverted back to 3 flashes and I had to do a factory reset again in Maxidot, even though I hadn't adjusted that setting to get 5 flashes back.

I set this when I first got the Blackline and has never appeared.
