Removing rear circle badge?

Featured Replies

How does this rear skoda badge pull off? I heard it has pins behind - do I need to remove the inside of boot or just yank it off?

Cheers

Heat it up and it just pulls off glue behind it needs melted

Did mine not long ago, used hairdryer to loosen and then a flat knife like tool to prise it off and some electric tape on the paint so not to damage the boot when Prising it off

Mine is now starting to look a little tatty too.

So there are definitely no melted plastic pins, as is the bonnet badge?

I suppose genuine Skoda items are the way to go, too?

I removed mine in less than 30 seconds with a couple of strips of dental floss. Used in a sawing motion, and careful not to rub on paintwork, badge comes off in seconds. 2 locating pins on badge so just work around them and it pulls right off. Clean sticky residue off and fit new badge. Done in under 2 mins. IMO the new style badges look so much better, which is why I got a full set including wheel centre caps to match :-)

Ah, dental floss - good call!
