Re-badged and de-badged

Featured Replies

Hey just thought I'd show you guys what I've been up to yesterday and today. It was quite fun trying to remove the badges but got there in the end.

As you can see I've changed the front and back skoda badges for some of the VRS badges I got from MAS and also removed the Fabia off the back.

What do you think?

Cheers

Just my opinion , but I think having the two sets of VRS badges that close together looks a bit odd.

Removing the one from the grille at the front and the side of the boot at the back would be better.

You cant just remove the badge from the grill though as it has a plate behind it.

Angle Grinder!!!!

Ok , perhaps not. :D

lol, I like the subtle approach.

replace them with 1.4 badges!

I dont like it.

I think the grille badge needs to be removed or the centre grille badge looks odd.

I'd also take off the rear badge.

Not keen, but each to their own.

Remove the older badges. It's like having two SL55 badges on the Merc.

Anyone know where I can get myself those badges?

Cheers Walkie, I know what you mean about having the two badges but I can't get the front one off the grill and the centre badge has holes behind it, eventually when I can afford it I'll go down the debadged grill route and if I can be bothered may also debadge the boot all together.

Mil I got the badges from MAS on here who's selling the wheel centre caps in the group buy section, you'll have to ask if he still has any of these.

Thanks for your replies

MAS Can You Please Tell Me If You Can Send Me Those V Monogram Badges??? I Hope You Read This Message :)

I have to ask the question of why you would want to take the Skoda badges off the vehicle ?????

Are you ashamed to drive a Skoda??? If so why buy one???

Post after post goes on about how good the cars are and how fast, so why hide the fact that when you blast past a BMW and make him look silly. Let them see it was a Skoda that did them.

I can understand the wheel inserts, but not the main Skoda badges.

Enigma.

Beretta if I was ashamed of driving a Skoda I wouldn't have bought one in the first place. If I was ashamed after I bought it I would have sold it by now, and I've had it for two & a half years.

Style baby STYLE!!!!!

Mil,

Not directed at you personally, just an observation following the first post by AvRS, I just cannot get my head around having a Skoda and trying to make it look like something else.

I bought mine nearly four years ago, and still have the Skoda badges.

"Let them know it was a Skoda that out ran them"....Even in UAE.

Okay...

I'll get four badges and stickem on the wheels, and keep the monograms on the boot and hood...

:D

Even when I had the badges on people asked what it was and were suprised a skoda can look so good. I'm very happy and not snobbish about driving a skoda and don't want to hide the fact, I just liked the badges I've replaced the originals with. My family like skoda's so much that my brother and dad have Octavia's and my dad's past 3 cars have been skoda's. Only reason I bought one is because I knew how good and reliable they are.

I'm not trying to make it look like anything else because the vRS is exclusive to skoda's and just like showing the fact it is one. Take it how you like but I'm very happy with owning a skoda and like has been said if it was a problem I wouldn't have bought one. Sorry to go on.

I think having vRS everywhere is overkill myself ........personally I won't modify mine as I am proud of its heritage....but if I did I would just get rid of the Skoda badges and leave them unreplaced.

Here here!!!

Leave the poor guy alone!!

If he likes it, fair do's imo...

Style is a subjective topic so what one person thinks looks good, another doesnt.
