Looking For Some Advice re Tunning

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 1.9vRS SE.

The car has PD160 intake, Elephant Mod, K&N Panel filter.

I'm wanting a remap in the near future. I will be driving to Shark in Mansfield for this.

So my questions are:-

•Would an Allard EGR Delete be beneficial over the elephant mod when my car is remapped?

•Would I be ok to update to FMIC after the remap? Or should I do it before?

Thanks.

if it was me i would FMIC it before mapping, to make the most of the nice cold air coming into the engine.

and i'm not too sure on the EGR delete > elephant mod, but i would say a kit designed to delete something, over a "pikey" mod, would be long term beneficial :)

hope that helps

Put the EGR delete on first, then they can map out the light at the same time as they map it.

None of the mods you mention other than the FMIC will make any difference to the power output so you should definitely do the FMIC before getting it mapped.

Also what softscoop said if you're doing the delete.

Fmic will give you jack all extra bhp

The pd130 turbo is the limiting factor. However the constant supply of cold air the fmic supplies will make your new found power more useable and longer lasting (no heat soak)

If you want an egr delete fit that before mapping so the cel wont come on (mapper can delete this)

Then fit fmic at your leisure

Looks like a FMIC is next on my list then.

I've got a Miltek cat back arriving from Demon Tweeks in a few days so will get that fitted ASAP.
