Mk1 VRS head unit swap.

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I'm trying to swap out my head unit on my 07 Mk1 1.9 VRS from a 'Harmonics' factory unit to a new Kenwood unit as my CD player is broken on it. I was wondering if the factory unit is connected to the car's immobaliser as I don't want to risk my car not starting when I do the swap. I've bought a facia adapter off of Ebay already and any fitting advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not connected to the immobiliser!

And good luck with a facia adapter as the skoda one is the only one I've seen that fits correctly

Is it the "Symphony" standard cd radio?

It is the Symphony one. Had an stupid moment there. Thank you all for replying, it's much appreciated :) My computer has been broken for a while hence delay in reply. I'll post pictures once I've got it done.
