A few coins just dropped down my windscreen demister vents!

Featured Replies

So yeah, now they are sloshing around! Does anyone know how to get down there so I can fish them out?

Good luck

If they have dropped down the top vent and the windscreen flap was open they will now be in the heater box.

That sounds bad lol!

Is there anyway to get to them?

Take the dash out and strip the heater box down.

If they are rattling around, just sell the car now. It will be easier in the long run.

Wait until it pays out!  This springs to mind

Go a find a Romanian pick pocket, they seem to be quite skilled at getting money out of places.

Dr zoidberg, you might be right tbh. I think it's time to change to something cheaper to run. I haven't had the best of luck with it and its probably best. Luckily I'm square on my pcp so I won't lose out if I trade it in. Just a shame really! Oh wells! Thanks guys! That made me laugh haha! I wonder how much it would cost to get the dam things out. I don't think it's guna pay out. Hahaha.

I lost a tiny screwdriver in the air vent of my Citroen AX, and had a couple of years of it rattling round each time I turned a corner, driving me nuts.

I wasn't joking!

Yeah I can imagine! It's already driving me nuts! And it's probably gonna cost an arm and leg to get the dam things out. I would have a bash at taking the dash out but it's not even old and I wouldn't wanna mess it up!

I lost a pencil in the gap between the dash and bottom of the windscreen on my old Octavia.  There is just enough room for a pencil to fit and slide freely from side to side but not enough to get your fingers in.

Drove me mad for a day or so until I managed to prise it out with a screwdriver.

Windscreen on my first Octy I (bought approved used 1 year old) cracked but on the inside. Dealer agreed to repair it under warranty and found on removing the glass a Czech beer bottle top trapped between the dash ans the glass at the point where it cracked; must have had a bit of a party on the production line that day  :wonder:  :giggle:

No rattling but another FOD in the dash example.

What's the old joke? How do you double the value of a Skoda?  :giggle:

I had a house key fall down my windscreen vent. I've tried dangling a magnet down there, but no luck so far. Will it cause problems for the car, or will it be ok down there?

It'll be fine, forget about it.
