PD170 Judder?

Featured Replies

only just started to notice this and only seems to happen in 1st pulling away from junctions etc it would judder/ stutter at about 1200rpm then its fine after that, maybe even get it 2nd gear at similar rpm.

any ideas?

some people are saying to try the (is it bigger or smaller) EGR gasket or am i thinking the  DMF is on its way out?

car is a PD170 VRS

I'd have a tenner on the DMF, a well known and regularly documented issue on older vRS's.

Try accelerating at a low RPM in a high gear, this should put the DMF under stress so you'll know then for sure if it judders.

cheers, abit disappointing if it is the DMF on a car that has done less then 50k miles but i will report back

My money will be on gunked up EGR valve.

cleaned mine out the other weekend and driving sweet as a nut now.

My DMF was juddering when I bought the car with 33,000 miles on it.
