anyone got battlefield two and if so what graphics cards are you running ??. My radeon 9200se 128mb doesn't seem to want to play with it so I've ordered a Asus V9999GT/TD GeForce 6800 GT 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI (AGP) to keep me going while I swap my machine over to PCI. Is there any know glitches or is it just my card that is steam powered or have I just wasted

the 6800gt is a nice card...

Unfortunately, the makers of battlefield2 decided to support only a limited range of gfx cards.. and your 9200 isnt one of them..

generally it supports 9500-> 9800 and the X600,700,800 and 850 for ATI cards

and any of the geforce FX series of Nvidia cards.

my radeon 9700 pro with added cooler runs it well,just given away my old 8500 to a mate and he runs it fine on that too.

cupra net are running a bit of a clan thing on BF2,we play most nights at the moment,with a big game on the weekends,new gamers are most welcome.

cheers chaps card should be here at weekend and there's a couple of us who play (fnnarrr fnaarrrr) so we may meet up.

PS Any one remember combat flight sim we had our own squadren the notts 48th it was great playing at 56k speeds - how did we do it ?

I run it on a X850XT and AMD 64 4000 with no problems

I run it on an athlon XP2500 and Radeon 9600pro no probs on 1024x768 at medium detail.

The reason it wont run is the shader instructions on the graphics cards that arent listed, are not shader model 1.4.

Anyone else find that multiplayer maps tend to have some godlike people on them lol

I did look for the shader specs and couldn't see them on my card just checked with overclockers new card should be her Friday - Briskoda battlefield two challenge day Saturday ?? (I was a demon on desert combat)

my 9800 Pro runs it OK - but the 6800 GT will kill it

my 9800 runs it, but im upgrading to a x800 2 soon, which will be modded to sixteen pipes and overclocked, so it should have no problems running it on high.

i find that you will need AT LEAST 768mb ram to run medium detail

it will run on 512mb, but ive found that even the extra 256mb cut loading times by almost a minute!

i run mine (9700pro) 1280x1024 medium everything.. still looks pretty smart but plays well too

XFX 7800 GTX

runs like a dream on FEAR and BF2

I've a :

P4 3.2Ghz (1meg cache),

2gig DDR ram

6600GT (factory o/c)

and still it won't hack full everything at max res
