Skoda Superb 2010 Rear Centre Armrest handle broken

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

The rear centre armrest handle has broken and needs to be replaced. I went to the Skoda Workshop and they said that they cannot replace just that peice, but the entire armrest will have to be replaced and that will cost about 47,000 INR (GBP 600). I dont want to spend that much. Please refer to the picture below to see the section (in yellow box) to see the handle being referred to. The same has come out of its socket (the holding plastic has broken on the inside)

Any ideas if just this or atleast just the top part is available and can be replaced.

If anyone knows how to remove this unit and refit it, that information would also help as i could try some local DIY solution.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it as it's shut away most of the time, if it's the clip can you not glue it with superglue?

No cant use super glue. This is because the handle moves in the slot (the hinge on which the handle moves) (tension is matained by 2 springs). If i glue it then there will be no movement.

@ £600 it would stay broken in my car tbh, it's not like you can get a scrap one either as it looks like you have ivory leather and the scrap guy will want to sell the whole interior.

and broken it stays. I would rather spend that money in getting a Sub and amp

Hi Jinu,

I hope you are doing well.

Did you by any chance fixed this or find a replacement?
