Badge Removal

Featured Replies

I recently took off my rear Octavia and 1.6 badge on the bootlid. I'll like to know if the side badges on the front fenders are glued or tacked on. If I remove them will they leave holes behind?

I assume these are the ones under the indicators on the front wing?

Again I'd assume these were stuck on. If no one has an answer you can check by removing front wheel and wheel arch liner and see if anything comes through.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Adrian: They're actually on top of the indicators. I'll try checking later today (it's 3:00am here!).

I was wondering what the time is where you are.:D

if the badge is part of the repeater... you could swap to vRS repeaters they have no badge..

Do you mean the badge which says which trim level the car is in (Classic/Ambiente/Elegance)?

As Paul (ffelan) has pointed out, the vRS doesn't have a badge on the side. I can't imagine they make some body panels with holes, and some without - so my guess is that the badge is just stuck on.

KLB that's exactly the badge I'm talking about. I'll take out the liner tomorrow either ways to make sure:rolleyes:

Paul: I was thinking about getting the Milotec Smoked RS repeaters but I like better how all the clear lamps tie in with the color of the car.

Side badges are stuck on with the same kind of stuff the ones on the boot are.

I used some fishing line (used in a sawing motion) to remove them.

Sticky stuff remover or lots of WD40 and a determined fingernail wrapped in paper towel, will remove the sticky residue.

Where do you get the smoked side repeaters from?
