Fault Code Help - Mass Air Flow and Boost Pressure

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Some of you may remember me, but I used to have an Octavia vRS but now have a Seat Leon 2.0 TDI FR PD 170. I have the following faults, but as you guys are so knowledgeable - can you please point me in right direction of presumably what sensors I need?

2 Faults Found:
005214 - Mass Air Flow during Regeneration too Low
P145E - 006 - - Intermittent
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 5
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset counter: 7
Mileage: 99150 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2000.00.00
Time: 20:04:26

Freeze Frame:
RPM: 1952 /min
Torque: 32.0 Nm
Speed: 102.0 km/h
0.00 %
27.69 %
Mass Air / Rev.: 321.6 mg/str
Mass Air / Rev.: 572.3 mg/str

000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation
P0299 - 006 - Control Range Not Reached - Intermittent
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 5
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset counter: 37
Mileage: 100460 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2000.00.00
Time: 17:58:14

Freeze Frame:
RPM: 2464 /min
Torque: 248.0 Nm
Speed: 58.0 km/h
78.39 %
Voltage: 14.46 V
Pressure: 2492.1 mbar
Pressure: 1512.3 mbar

With those two codes hand in hand id go with a faulty diverter valve, the maf voltage is expected drop then spike when you come off the throttle and the diverter valve lets the boost pressure into the air filter. It won't with a bad diverter valve. Could be wrong though, this is the trouble with online diagnostics, it's all conjecture.
