Back to my car: I filled it up for the first time -the fuel tank is smaller than I thought it would be  :whew:

Great so far -headlights -very cool with the automatic dipping and then back up to high beam.

The stereo can play FLAC format

Lane assist is spooky, where there are poor lane markings I did feel that it was 'hunting' a little (making lots of tiny corrections) and then giving up -squeaks at you and tells you to take over the steering

Still haven't tried self parking yet -need to find somewhere a very quiet before I make a complete prat out of myself  :giggle:

Niggles:

There's no sunglasses holder due to the sunroof  :wall:  I bought one of those little clips to go on the sun visor, but it looks horrible -does anyone know if Skoda do one of those things that replaces the grab handle?

Can't find an option to navigate by postcode in the Nav -is this correct? also should it come with an SD card?

Lots of nice option ticked on that one (why no Canton though, would be perfect for me if it had that, especially powered by the Columbus!) and very nice looking. Good luck with it  :)

Are you sure about that? There's been quite the debate on a Romanian forum as users simply couldn't get it work. None of them did have the Columbus though (I think Bolero and Amundsen were used). Did you have to do anything special or did it just work straight away?

I'd also like to know if the OP actually tried it or just is just reading that from the manual or website? My entire home collection is ripped as FLAC so it would be great for me! :)

I have some FLAC files on my phone and played them over Bluetooth -it just plays them (24 bit 44.1khz studio master). I shall experiment putting them on a USB stick but there is no reason to believe that it wouldn't work.

Don't know why no Canton -that would have been the icing on the cake, maybe not available to order at the time (was ordered in February) however the standard sound system is pretty decent

Really, I found the sound extremely flat and thin. Like on pc speakers and portables for your phone.

I don't think it's bad at all, on factory settings I find it a bit overly bright (like most VW sound systems), but I have adjusted the EQ accordingly. I'm sure the Canton system is better and I'd certainly expect it to be so for the money (I've not heard it).

Standard sound system (with Amundsen) is definitely better than my old Superb II (with Columbus) but I find it is better with the bass turned up and the middle reduced.

Agreed, I had to play with the settings quite a bit on the standard system but I was doing a back to back comparison with the Canton system at the time and it was a real eye opener. Perhaps in isolation the standard system is good. :)
