Have I mad one major error...

 

My Octavia elegance in the garage which is now ready for collection. I asked the garage to drop it down to get the window tint carried out as I've had in my previous mark II Octivia. When I was there I started to talk to the guy that carries out the work - Before I knew it I had agreed to getting a black gloss roof along with the window tint

 

The external spec is as follows - Elegance, Candy white, 18" Golus, Sports suspension, LED rear lights, No engine label.

 

With the mix of Candy white / Black roof along with 18" Golus and tinted windows look OTT.

 

What's the thoughts folks... It's not to late to change my mind on the roof.

 

   

 

 

Sounds mad, but sounds cool at the same time! I see a lot of A4's with the white body and black roof, a tad "boy racer", but I am old

Hmm could be quite smart, not many similar images on the net but these may help

 

 

I'm sold... I do think it's fantastic... 

 

Decision final - No tuning back now...

My Octy is Candy white with the 18 Golus, sports suspension like yours but has the sunroof.

 

The black looks great against the white of the car.

 

One of the guys at work has a white M3 with black carbon fibre roof - looks the mutts nuts.

 

 

Its over the hill with the black roof thing. I think its worn out. But if you like it go for it. But please dont go for the Carbon Look, And look for knifecuts on the car.... it will rust like hell if he dont use CutTape.

Hey that looks nice. I'd like that on the VRS estate, but I suppose would need to get the spoiler done too.. Is it expensive?

What he has is standard and came with the sunroof. The estate is different. There's no black around the sunroof.

the only way to get a black roof is to either get the sunroof option or someone to fit a black vinyl roof.

i've not done an octavia yet but this is a pic of a rapid i done a little while ago, looks great.

 

edit. i've also fitted a couple of white mk2 vrs estates with black roofs, you have to remove the rails in order to stretch it across and allow it to be trimmed neatly. i don't have any pictures of those though.
