Let's be honest - we're talking about a family saloon with a nippy engine, not a funking Caterham...

Well you'll love my car lol Staggered wheels on a fwd. 3 piece split rims so will no doubt fall apart. 5x130 - 5x100 hub adaptors. cheap tires which are stretched. Stupidly low cheap coilovers.

  • Do you like de mango?

  • What's going on! Why does everyone keep saying my name?     I heard Jimmy Savile used wheel spacers.   Just saying..........

Damn, forgot about split rims! They must be really dangerous and a bodge of the lowest quality!

I think someone should have told Porsche not to put split rims on the GT3...

I bought 19 x 8.5 inch ET 35 rims from Wheelbase Alloys in Liverpool and they came with 235 x 35 x 19 tyres.....which on standard suspension caught on the back, every time I hit a big bump. So I got some 215 x 35 x 19 tyres fitted and they didn't catch on standard suspension, but then I lowered it on Weitec coilovers and almost all of the time, they were fine......but when I hit a big bump they'd scuff just ever so slightly on the inside of the rear arches.

Due to the wife kerbing the hell out of my wheels (215's leave the alloys standing proud unfortunately) I've now swapped to 18 x 8 inch ET40's with 225 x 40 x 18 tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's.....bloody good tyres....especialy in the wet) but because my wheels are very dished, they weren't a straight fit because they hit the standard calipers. Worse on the back than the front actually. So I had to use 10mm hubcentric spacers.....making the wheels ET30's effectively......but they only scuff on the rear on the most monstrous bumps and only when fully loaded.....by which I mean all of the family in the car and enough camping equipment for a small army......plus a fully loaded roof box

Oh.....forgot to mention that I'm currently in the process of ruining my car some more, by having a Quaife ATB LSD fitted by Jabbasport at the moment. Should get it back this week.

And look how long he got away with everything....

Leave my adaptors alone :D

They are fine

Lloyd..  you need to clean your calipers boy!  lol

i did look at that when the pic popped up lol

Next time the wheels are off i think i need to do some scrubbing

Although i'll just rip the fronts off when i can and have some shiny green tarox bolted on :)

That's if they don't fall off on there own in the mean time with your bodged on adaptors lol

Just hope no one spots my camber shims :D

Lloyd seen as your king bodger I have a job for you..........

I need a pair of hubcentric 15mm spacers with bolts to "bodge" my rears down to et15

And a pair of 5mm spacers to "bodge" my fronts down to et25

Bolt on ones tend to be 20mm bud

Only bolt on stuff ive known be less is the porsche pcd adaptors bud

15mm tend to be bolt thru, h&r supply extended bolts but then u got to source lockers. , and thats long ol' bolts mate

I'll text u some findings

Is it 5x100 or still 4x100 on mk3s

Is it a 57.1 hub bud ?

Guys, girls, this is the Mk1 Octy section we don't lower ourselves to petty squabbles.
