I've ordered some of the Halfords 5W/40 Fully Synthetic Petrol & Diesel Oil 4L for my VRS, says it meets VW 502.00/505.00, so hopefully it's OK, lol!

& the general consensus of opinion re. oil shelf life ranges from 5 years to indefinite.I have a best mate who is a professor of chemistry & lectures at Brighton Uni, & he says indefinite

I just checked for a mk2 without the reg no & none of them are recommended.If it were mine though I would be happy to put 5/40 fully synth in for top ups, assumimg it wasn't using much

Wont run it in my car but will use on either carsas a rinse after using an engine flush which I do every 2 services or so. Specially as my fabia gets done twice a year

When i went to pick mine up yesterday they were the last two bottles. 1x 5w40 for me and 1x 5w30 for my mums zafira. They are getting more in saturday

I think someone in the industry said comma or castrol made it for them. Not sure though it was a while ago this was mentioned.
