In the very near future I'll be selling my DC2 Integra type R. Hoping to get a Fabia VRS.

As the title suggests I'm new in the diesel game and having owned nothing but Japanese cars for some years now, new to Skoda!

I really hope you enjoy the diesel experience.  I do a 22 mile commute daily and a few longer runs at the weekend and enjoy making a monthly visit to the pumps where I try and force €70 worth of diesel into the tank.

 

You'll like the low down revs grunt as well.

I owned a dc2 for a little while. Loved every minute of it. But unfortunately the insurance was sky high. So it had to go.

You know the new fabia VRS is petrol right? Although the 1.9 diesel in the mk1 is pretty good in its own right getting on a bit now. Might be a bit of a shock droping from the integra.

It's going to be diesel as the petrol is way out of my budget! I know I'll get the tuning bug as soon as I've got one though, who knows maybe I'll be a convert

mk4 1.8T gti - got - but ploughing through the classifieds after mk1 fabia vrs

 

good cars - heard good things about them

 

joined as I wish to get heads up on what to look out for - and tuning tips

 

I know jabba tweak the pd engines - and will look at maybe getting pd150 turbo on - but anyone else have thoughts on other places of tweak - as in companies - as opposed to the actual parts to be played with?

 

seen a vrs with the pd 150 and a stage 2 on classifieds - wanting to cost out and see pros and cons for all - before forking out the cash
