HELP Glow plug snapped in head

Featured Replies

A glow plug is stuck in head, a friend has suggested a easy out plug removal tool. If that doesn't work then head off and bill of 700 quid, does any briskodians on here in kent area know of a specailist that can do this. Would save me a huge garage bill

Walked into work to exactly the same thing on a Renault master van! Tried well over a hour, easy ours, spline sockets, mole grips, tap socket wrench etc etc, ended up being a top end off job, lovely of the night shift to leave lol

Yup my head has to come off :(

It should come down to feel and 1/4" tools used.

If they feel like they will snap, leave them. I also soak them in wd40 for aslong as I can before removing.

If it was me, I'd just do without one glow plug.

Also to late now but you want the engine hot when you go to remove them.

The same happened my old Leon and it was a head off job. I would consider a new timing belt too when your that far into it unless it has been replaced recently
