Yea, Happy 40th!

And god bless all who sail in her - Hic  :drunk:

Thanks.

Actual day was very sober as I had to work that night! :'(

Like the T shirt Martyn. Quite fancy getting one of those!!

Best wishes Graham, when do you hang up your signalman hat? The box won't be the same without a Yeti next to it.

Belated Happy Birthday Graham.

If it's any consolation to you an English Bus Pass is not valid in Wales and Scotland except to get a discount on Day Rover Tickets.

However, it does say that it is valid on journeys that originate in the issuing country and cross borders. But as you don't get any sort of ticket I'm unsure what happens on the return journey! :giggle:

Thank George, and others.

Bus Pass will be acquired on Friday when I can get into the local "drop in office" with my passport. Don't even need to provide a photo as they do it all electronically now. Shame I can only use it in Wales though; the miserable english won't accept we Welsh get them at 60!! (awaiting comments from someone :giggle: )

My wife has bought me a day's Driving Course on the Seaton Tramway in Devon, so we are off there on Sunday with the caravan, returning Wednesday as it just happens to be Sidmouth Folk Festival next week as well. Shame I've got to go to work on Thursday!!

...and best wishes from a fellow bus pass owner too. We live in Colyton, the other (and more picturesque) terminus on the Seaton Tramway, so watch out for a red Yeti. I'll try and avoid the Colyford crossing whilst you're driving. There are plenty of Yetis in the area, so yours will feel at home!

According to NR the Box is due to close in 2017, so I'm hoping they will offer an enhanced package for my redundancy, but I do wonder how they are going to keep to their timetable.

If you're down there, a visit to the Peco Model Railway museum, Beer, is well worth it assuming of course you haven't done it already!

Apropo nothing at all, see Marshbrook box has now been listed by English Heritage(?) be careful, if you stand still for too long in't box a man with a board and pencil might do the same with you, just keep moving should solve that potential prob :giggle:

Happy belated birthday from me too! Took me a little while too, but had to come up to full speed changing over from vacations mode to everyday working mode but hey, no one is perfect :)
