Went up today for my stage 2 and basically my car wasn't ready and the power I was looking for/what I was going for, the parts wouldn't work. So rather than just trying to take my money and send me on my way he wouldn't let me get it done. Instead he spent 3 hours of his time getting it as ready as much as he could for next time, cleared some fault codes, changed over some bits with parts he had (Sorry Ben for stealing your new DV ) and also deleted the N249. He even edited my **** map! He did it all for a fantastic price and I can't credit the guy enough! If anyone wants a map or just general VAG knowledge then go see Nick!

 

Don't waste your time anywhere else! It was a 5 hour drive for me and I would go back there again, actually I will be.

Allard FMIC will all pipes and connectors

KO3s turbo

Compbrake DV with uprated spring

Almost brand new K&N panel filter with the lifetime warranty slip (1month old)

First of all I had a cracked exhaust manifold thanks to the previous map

 

My MAP sensor wasn't attached and was ****ing boost. Same for catch can.

 

Fuel rail wasn't sitting properly.

 

Due to the supersize TIP I have, it was pushing against pipe off the turbo and restricting it.

 

cold air feed had fallen off.

 

Bits like that.

It will quite happily do the job, but for the gains I hope to achieve I need bigger which Nick reckons the Welly will do for me. Rather do it right.

Ben from R-Tech has a black MK1 Octy VRS as his daily, he loves it!  I think they have gotten such a good rep on the VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat scene over the years is the quality of work and honesty.  Being dishonest in the first place can make you a few extra quid but when you hear honesty as in that the car is not just ready for a map then you get that bit more trust which leads to more business in the long run so it pays off.

It's got loads of dodo juice blue velvet on it so it should hold up...

You'll be so glad you stuck with R-tech,they turn so many cars away for hardware issues....

Other tuners would just map around the problems....

Every car in there gets treated like its there own....and that's how it should be!

Been there this morning for my stage 2 but ive got too many boost leaks :-( damn pcv. Nick helped out a lot and hopefully get rebooked in soonish! Heard nothing but good things about rtech and this morning just proved how clued up they are! Wont be going anywhere but rtech from now on!

christ your car had some running issues lol, Nic is a top bloke, would have loved to have had his TIV mapping on my old VRS to see what it was like.

This is why he is not just one of the best tuners going period but also a top guy that runs his business as an enthusiast and not for greed !!!

He could be very very wealthy but chooses to give ever minute of his time making every car that goes through his doors 110%

Not doubting Nick, but to double check is that the universal ebay one that everyone says isn't that good and you need to mod pipes and what not?

Also, where can I get Exhaust manifold to main block bolt, turbo to exhaust manifold bolts and DP to turbo bolts from? Tried skoda and they wanted £65 for the lot!
