A question for those of you who have ordered your vrs's. I ordered mine on the it was released for orders however I haven't been informed of a build week yet, is this normal?

When should I expect an estimated build date?

I order my VRS 26.june. Yesterdey recived call from my dealer that delivery week is 35.

That's strange Rob. I ordered mine 20th July and have a delivery estimate of second week of sept. That was right when I ordered it. He keyed in all the details I wanted and that's what it gave him.

Okay, we'll I'm going in to the dealer tomorrow to test drive a diesel vrs as not drove one yet only a petrol. Iv had a few options but I can't see that affecting build date.

Will do, i test drove a golf GTD last weekend but i believe it was in eco mode so felt slower than my current mk2 so fingers crossed this is a more successful drive

I had a 2011 mk2 Fabia which I had nothing but trouble with so rejected it after 10,000 miles of constant problems, and replaced with the mk2 last year however is a basic mk2 but has done me well for the last year.

Yes no optional extras as i needed a car and this was builting.

I got £14,500 part exchange so another £11,000

Iv gone for privacy glass, cruise control. Black design pack, im also going for the 19inch wheels when they are released.

Test drove diesel today, very smooth with regards to turbo lag in comparison to my mk2, didnt feel faster but then again only 10bhp difference. Gearbox was miles better, im going for dsg though so doesnt effect me.

Prob not. New engines are well run in off the line now a days.

Still if its as fast as the current 170cr there's nothing to complain about.

Yeah i would say so, my mk2 now has 17k on it and is smoother and spot on power wise for a daily car. The new one did just go compared to lag i have in mine.

Ordered ours 20th July on Feeder Road.

 

First of all told no silver wheels I ordered, then told they would be available from 19th August.

 

Then after asking for a delivery date got an email saying build date is week 37 and then 4 weeks to arrive at dealer

 

Not the least bit excited!!!!!!

 

 

 

Ordered mine on July 22nd from Eardley's in Stoke. I've been quoted delivery in " early December", but who knows. Colour is Meteor Gray with Canton & Apple connector thingy. Pretty standard in the hope of a quicker build!
