Fiat 500 Abarth

Featured Replies

Im Really considering buying one of these and would like to know what they are like to drive? I understand you can get them remaped to almost 200bhp :o  I Love my Octy vrs but its the tax and the drinking of petrol thats killing me, Im looking to buy a house in the next year or so and will need something thats cheaper to run hence the Fiat

Thanks for your thoughts

I thought you were talking about the tributo one!

Its 40k LOL

Got to say I really love these.

Enough to get shot of the S3 for one if I'm honest.

The S3 is fast, and grips etc etc. But it's too refined

and takes things in it's stride too well.

I know I can make it faster, Stage 2+ will get me in the 400bhp

ballpark in my Audi, and a noisy exhaust and sports cat will

make it all growly and hissy. But it's not what the cars about really.

Mind you theres a fella over on Audisport with a 500 bhp S3.

I bet that's a handful although there's not much original car left

bar the bodyshell interior and main engine block.

And you could buy 3 Abarths with what he's spent getting it that way.

Perhaps it's better to upgrade the Audis performance and get an Abarth

for the wife. I reckon one of the Arbarth 500s would be a right laugh though.

Was looking at a lovely Pasadoble Red one for the Mrs on the classifieds at

the Fiat Forum. Not this car but identical.

I saw a Ferrari one in Hexham back in June - liked it very much but not sure I'd have spent that much (£30k + ?) on one!

Yeah, saw that one in Hexham the other day. They sound soo good for a 1.4 and in terms of running costs they seem great. £170 tax for 12 months over 40MPG (Claimed) Thinking im gonna need every spare penny if i get this house. That red one looks lovely

If you drive it like its supposed to be driven you won't get 40mpg. Nowhere near.

If your Octavia is reliable then keep it and slow down.

Hi, my friend owns a new 500 Abarth, he got it on pcp at around 200 a month with 2k down, no idea if that's cheap but gives you an idea.

It feels fast as its small and feels low and nimble, he loves it and says its so economical for the pace, that said his last car was a totally shagged, unserviced, halfords Cheap heavy alloy wearing golf vr6 with spares in boot lol!

I'd rarther get something like a Mini Cooper-s
