Dashboard illumination ?

Featured Replies

 nice  how long did it take you to do?

I have fitted a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54 in my vRS. It has variable display and button colours so you can match the Skoda green perfectly. It has DAB radio as well as FM/AM, plays audio CDs, MP3 CDs and MP3s of a memory card. Sounds good too. The fascia is silver and black which looks like it's factory fit in the vRS dash. The only slight mismatch is that the on/off button and the navigation dial illumination is "VW" blue regardless of the other colour settings. I think it looks good though.

I'm just off to Devon for a few days, I'll post a fews pics of it in the dash when I get back if you are interested.

At first, it took me one afternoon to do it, but now I'm done in 2 hours :)

Guys,

Similar topic, I've got a 04 Fabia and the dials don't light up at all.

Is this a fuse? Or bulb behind the back? I've been through the book but can't find a fuse thats blown that would affect the illumination.

Its only happened recently but now at night I can't see the dash at all, no idea what speed I'm going at night, don't think the police would buy it if I got caught speeding. Anyone any ideas?????

Guys, anybody Help?

My dash no longer lights when I've got my lights on.

So at night I can't even see my speedo!!

Is there a fuse that I need to change or a bulb?

I checked the book and checked the fuses that I guessed it may have been but no luck?

Any1 any ideas.

Can't think the police will take "I can't see what speed I was going" as a legitimate excuse!

Hope someone can help.

Cheers,

Matt

Has the lights dimmer been turned down perchance?

Sorted thanks, The fuse for the license plate bulb had gone. Well apparently that what the fuse is supposed to be for! At least I've found out about the light dimmer!!
