Ap coilovers ride height

Featured Replies

Hi guys just fitted my AP's

Done about 50mile in them, the back wont go down any lower and there is about 2 fingers gap say just under and inch and a half - is this normal?

TBH its pretty perfect as i dont want the car too low.

Cheers

They don't go that low on the rear unfortunately. You could remove the adjusters to go lower which is what I'm going to do when I get chance!

TBH its about right for me, its right on the bottom and its a nice drop without catching speed bump.

The wheels dont sit right in the arch there is about an 1.5inch between the bottom of the arch and the top of wheel so I'm quite happy with that.

Yer i would say thats how mine sat with the adjusters in. Get some 15mm spacers on the back if you are on standard wheels should make it sit alot nicer.

You mean spacer that go between wheel and hub or underneath the rear adjusters?

How much more did it drop with the adjusters out Joe?

Wheel spacers, they make a good difference and look a lot better.

Ah right as simple as that LOL

I took the adjusters out and the rubber cups the spring sits in and this is how mine sits, perfect IMO. Maybe a bit biased :P

That's nice mate! So you removed the adjuster at the bottom and the rubber cup at the top?

Yes mate, no clunks or bangs either just drives like it did with the adjusters and rubber cups in, think some 15mm spacers and it will look ace
