Sorry to disagree, but they are different part numbers - the front badge is convex whilst the rear one is flat as I discovered in April when I fitted the new style badges to my SE. Sadly, I didn't keep the paperwork and so I don't have the individual part numbers, but the ever-helpful Jonathan Gadsby at Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield will be able to advise and supply the correct items.

Rainworth Skoda is where SWMBO vRS was from.

I spoke to Jonathan on Friday as luck would have it, and orderd the badges ( though to be pedantic the part number I was given was 5JO 853 621 A AUL)

£15.42 in. Vat, free postage.

As an aside, the mk2 Fabia rear script is £9 inc vat, the vRS script £8.78 inc vat.

I'd previously rung Gordon Lamb at Chesterfield, the parts guy, James, was worse than useless, very rude and off-handed with me, told me that the part number didn't exist, that the badges wouldn't fit a mk1 etc

To compound it, I asked about the Fabia mk2 vRS badges, he argued black and blue with me that they came as a one-piece badge in tall bendy script not italic script.

Top and bottom is, I made a formal complaint to the Dealer Principal, and took my business to Jonathan as above.

I wouldn't touch Gordon Lamb now with a barge pole.

I'd highly recommend speaking with Jonathan for any genuine parts, top fella, and extremely helpful.

Ah no... The same part number is for both badges. The part number in the op is for the rear boot badge for a 13fabia  fabia mk2.

The original skoda badges on the mk1 fabia have the same part number for front and back.

The original new style badge on the front of a mk2 fabia is different. This is why you need two from the back.

They fit perfectly.

When you fitted these did they come with the lugs in the same place to fit the existing holes on the mk1 fabia or did you just use an adhesive to secure them to your car?

Are these the ones that i want;

Yes, the lugs are in the same place, and they come with self adhesive pads.

You will have to peel /remove the old adhesive from the grill /boot lid before you fit the new ones of course.

Nice one, thanks. So don't have to worry about concave/flat badges?

Looks smart, gonna do this myself : )

I ordered a set off eBay and they were perfect for the Mk1 Fabia, no work required on them at all

Doesnt car look so smart. I bet youve enjoyed it. Is it still alive?

I was trying to get new style badges for my Octy 2, but neither of the dealers in my area were willing to help or advise; they took the company line that 'this part is not a fitment for your car'. Actually they wouldn't even disclose the part numbers. Ridiculoius.

Anyone know what will fit an Octy 2, with its slightly curved front grille. I can see the back badge when meansure is smaller. So what I think I know is the back is 80mm and the front is 90mm. Only using a dressmaker's tape measure though, so can't say for example 80.2mm!
