Anyone?

Can someone at least tell me how to get to the ECU, I cant find a haynes manual for the car and the MkIV Golf is different.

ECU is in the same place as the Mk4 Golf (under the scuttle panel); Remove the wipers, then the rubber weather seal then carefully remove the scuttle panel. ECU is then near the middle somewhere and is held in by a fairly simple clip. The other option is to find someone with vagcom who can get the ECU number for you in a couple of minutes.

Try calling Micheal at Jabba, he is bit of a dab hand with ECU's.

VRStu: Cheers...I will give Jabba a call, I didnt know they did ECU refrubs?

May not be a refurb but they have all the equipment needed to recode or possibly repair an ECU. It may be possible to get a used one from a breakers, they were around
