Spanner Light

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just got myself a 57 plate Skoda Fabia 3 1.6 petrol. Although it has a full service history the spanner light is on.

I have researched on-line about how to reset it such as holding in the trip button with ignition ect, but no joy.

Attached is a pic of my dash, so would appreciate some help here.

Thanks guys!

Ryan

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe try a post direct in the Skoda Fabia 2 section and someone will spot your post quicker.

I thought the one in the OP was different, after i googled 'Fabia 2 reset service spanner' and read the 5 other threads.

Isn't it because its telling you something :)

Yes, it could be that the Service Period was not re-set by the person that last Serviced it.

It could be that they did not have the equipment to reset it, or did not know how to,

so its best to work on the assumption that the service may not have been carried out correctly.

But if it is only just about an Oil and filter change, maybe worth having one carried out.

& checking with the Last person on the Service History as to why they never re-set the Service indicator.
