Detailed today.

Featured Replies

The missus wasn't best pleased after 6 hours or so on the car today. Although I did do all the baby's ironing waiting for the wax to dry, so she can't moan too much.

1. Gentle hose down.

2. Two bucket wash with grit-guards and lambswool mitt. Shampoo: Dodo Juice Sour Power.

3. Hose rinse

4. Dry with waffle-weave drying towels.

5. Pre-wax paint cleanse with Dodo Juice Lime Prime cleanser

6. Polish (double density shag towels)

7. Wax with Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0 (love the polymer waxes)

8. Polish again

9. Spray and polish with Chemical Guys Quick detailer.

10. Put in garage.

Result - one very shiny car. Me=knackered.

I'll save the pictures until it rains, then I can post bead-porn pictures!

Nice work Charlie

Only thing I would have done different was steps 7 and 8, I tend to polish, then seal, then wax... But what do I know lol

Looking forward to the pics though, bet its gleaming!

Beer time for you now mate ;)

Cheers

My hubby tends to take his car to the local Euro Car wash to get it hand washed by the babes who work there.

I too like to go to the Local Euro Car wash to get hand washed as the wife has banned me from my marital rights.

The Meguiars Polymer stuff works like/as a sealant, so I guess I'm getting to the same place. I've never used the Collonite stuff, but I need to try it.

Celebrated by watching my new blu-ray of Who Dares Wins with the missus. SAS-tastic!!!

Collinite 476 just before the bad weather comes mate

Fantastic stuff

Ooh don't say that, we've got a few weeks left lol. I'm going on holiday to Norfolk next week!

Oh, there is no rush mate

You should be fine with that until October/November time, then stick some Collinite 476 on to cover you up to Spring

Any wax protection is better than none though fella

Get a picture up anyway...want to see the fruits of your labour :)

I've never got on well with any wax, despite getting the prep first - last time I tried Colly I got about a month at best but then again I was 1000 miles a week at that stage!

Currently loving GTechniq c2v3 - fantastic results and minimal work to maintain the finish.

Keen to see the pics Charlie.

Nice but I much prefer making a mess with a car (mud, oil, etc)?
