As some of you might know my vrs is being repaired and I have got a bran new astra eco tech pile of junk till mine is repaired. 96 horses and 98 pound of torque! Slow is not the word. Best thing about it is the seat's, nice and supportive and comfy.its just a big ugly slow car. And it's badged as an Sri! At one time sri was a sporty badge. Not any more. Just had a call that my car might be finished tomorrow. It can't come soon enough, need my power back.

What is the engine in it ?

Is it a petrol that can actually rev readily to above 3,000 rpm and get some get up and go if needed.

Is 30mph-40 mph not the same as in other cars doing 30-40 mph,

& does it not manage to reach the National Speed limits as quick as the car you are behind?

The astra is such a big car too. Was really surprised when I first drove it. No word of a lie my old 950 fiesta wasn't far off it. Lol

You've got to look at this the other way round.  When you get your car back, it will seem all the better for it.  It's very true that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.  And so, when you get it back, you appreciate it more.

 

It's a good thing.  The last thing you want is some perfection-mobile that makes you disappointed with the car you own!

Lol can't grumble with Adrian flux, they have been spot on with the service. The works car ( pug tepee) always felt dog slow, now when I jump in it its like a rocket ship. Lol

Hardly equal on performance though. I was offered a crappy corsa when my car was in for work, argued that it wasnt any good for me and wanted something close to the performance of my car and ended up with a A class merc. Sill not great but better lol.

One reason I like direct line. Guaranteed courtesy car of equal size or better.

No Getz, matiz, up or similar for us

What do you expect from a Vauxhall.

The 1.4 is not good but the 1.6T and the 2.0 160 diesel are really nice.

We have a new shape Zafira on loan while one of our 11 plate is in for work. Have to say the newer one is much nicer than the old ones. More space, quieter, feels better put together. Dunno which engine it has, diesel though. Bit off topic but. .
