This is building up interest nicely :)

I have a venue in mind, a fantastic hotel in Coventry with a huge car park.

Seems its pretty central for all who expressed interest up to now

Ideal if people wish to stay over

Rooms are £50-60 a night per couple, inc breakfast and use of gym/pool/sauna etc.

Has a great pub and restaurant and even a starbucks

Like I said, not compulsory to stay over, but we could meet on the sunday and any one wishing to stop could do so on Saturday night.

Thoughts?

    I thought about this fella

    Would it help if I started a savings club for attendees (obviously have to consult with Colin first)

    I could take paypal payments, in installments, up to the room price and then pay it all on the day?

    Would that be something anyone would be interested in?

    Its fine to just attend on the day, but if we could all meet on the Saturday it would be even better

    Just a thought, but if its stupid I apologise :D

    id have to have a think about it :/ 

     

    My car insurance is due at the start of September, and a few other things could be eating up my savings.

    Is there a date in mind?

    Was just trying to help anyone out, as I appreciate finances are tight thanks to this recession

    Sunday meet up is the important part anyway

    @fe71 We can sort out a date thats hopefully suitable for most, when we finalise attendees

    just hope its a weekend when ex husband has the kids.never driven to coventry before on my own so might have to see if a mate will come along,lol.

    The plan is stay over Saturday night for a Sunday meet I believe.

    as for a date, my car is expected to arrive first few weeks of October so mid to end of October? 19th/20th or 26th/27th?

    Funny I will be in Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield, on the 14th to the 18th October. So would be passing Coventry on the way home. However, I can't commit to a date until nearer the time.

    Trying to organise a place and date that suits people is a nightmare  :(

     

    Hopefully the place is agreeable with folks (although not heard back from everyone on the list)

     

    So, its just the date now. I suggested November 3rd but Im pretty flexible 

     

    Really need firm yes or no's to make this a success, or it will just die in the water

    Early November is a No for me. My sons birthday on the 5th and my graduation at Kingston University around that time so weekend celebrations?
