Well, that's what I now have after fitting a set of 17 inch wheels.  I keep telling myself that it will settle but it still looks like the love child of Zebedee and Bambi.

As far as I can see there are a couple of options, lowering springs and coil overs.  It definitely needs to go lower but it's limited by the fact the wife uses it on a stretch of unkempt track that isn't too smooth or level.  Looking at the available options 25mm is about the most it wants to go down by as it stands right now.  The second issue is the car is on 97k so the shocks are probably on the way out.  I've replaced all the bushes up front so it would make sense to do shocks if the springs are being changed.

So basically I could do apex springs and replace standard shocks like for like, or get one of the springs and shock kits or go down the coilover route.  Having read quite a bit last night, coil overs don't appear to be the most sensible or economic option for my needs.

What do the Apex/Bilstein etc kits of springs/shocks offer over standard (euro car parts type stuff)? What is the standard fit equipment?

Cheers all

Loving those wheels! What are they?

They look like white Compomotives, I'm I right?

They look very good if they're not anyway. B)  White does suit Black cars very well.

Yep

What about the AP shock & spring kit?

Jealous of those wheels they look good. I was so tempted by them!

:sun:  They look sweet! I'll refrain from answering your question as my default answer is "slam it". Make her use the Jeep for work lol.

Taps fingers and waits for Jason.

If its any help, I have the Bilsten B12 kit. It doesnt lower the car a massive amount, the ride is firmer than standard but not as crashy as when I just had H&R springs fitted on standard (worn) shocks. The car handles much better over the standard set up but it is quite costly.

Good choice of wheels :P same as mine lol. Bit of a pain to keep clean tho.
