Hit and run on front wing - how much for new one.

Featured Replies

A friend left has Black VRS 55 reg outside a pub & some t**t (might have been drunk) left the pub car park & smacked into the front passenger wing & drove off. He's currently getting the pub to check the CCTV cameras to see if they recorded anything.

The wing replacing as its quite badly damaged, Rather than going through his insurance, he was just wondering how much would he be looking at for a new wing replacement? Just a ball park figure. Was thinking that someone else on these forum might have had a wing replaced in the past.

Thanks.

Hi mate, I have had a slight knock myself actually haha new bumper passengers wing and bonnet required and various bits under the engine.

Anyway I got my wing new from eBay for about £43 here's the item code 171045882212.

Here's my rebuild if your interested http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/285769-post-crash-rebuild/

Thanks,

Davis

ouch!! Thats gutting!! How's it going with the build? all finished yet?

On a side note, I thinks its much easier to accept if its something that you did yourself rather than some d**k doing a hit & run.

I was pretty cool about really badly smashing the back wing in when I skidded on some ice a while ago.

Nearly needs intercooler hoses which are on order, then respray :) yeah I know what you mean mate lol

Have you tried ringing round scrapyards, anyone breaking on eBay. Did that on my last car, cost me less than my excess
