NEW Fabia Reaction LE

Featured Replies

They say they have limited stocks, I'm not quite sure whether that qualifies it as a true LE, more a runout model with a few extra bits to get rid of them

Exactly.

I am sure that if orders fly in and they are selling like hot cakes,

they will bake more of them.

I actually like them in the flesh and the interior is nice enough.

Can you live with the Colour & the more show than go is really the question.

Apparently they are only making 700

Yet to see one in the flesh to decide on colour.

Yes definitely all show and no go, no diesel option either....

Not a true numbered LE though, so not a LE, hence no LE status on the Skoda website :)

Apparently is not definitely, like a Woman they can change their minds.

It is amazing how they limit to 1000 the likes of Monte Techs, but do not Number them, or issue a Limited Edition Certificate.

Like with the S2000 & many others.

(Dealers or individuals can spec a few up, and sticker them up the same as the factory ones.)

Personally i do not see the Reaction as being a future collectors model,

or that people will build 'Copy Look a likes'.

but i do like them for what they are,

not sure i would want a car in Meteor Grey in 2017, the novelty might have worn of by then.

Yeah tough call, well its either this or a used Greenline for me.......decisions......

Its horses for courses depending on what you want.   If you want a brand new car with some nice extras its a very good buy.  If you want something more cutting edge and that you can add options etc to then avoid it.

Maybe they are aiming it as a low cost car for new or nearly new drivers, that parents maybe could afford rather than splash £ 5 or £ 6 K on a decent second hand car ?

If my daughter was old enough and i had the cash I would be a good first car for her.  (many years to go yet, I should add before she is ready to drive.... )

My son thinks its a cool car, and I really hope he still thinks its cool in 4 or 5 years' time when he runs it as his first car. At least the insurance shouldn't be too bad (relatively).

I just need to remind him that he's agreed to wash it.

Now to decide when to sell my Octavia Scout. Freedom time I think...

That's a very odd mix of cars to compare and choose between. The engine in the Reaction is not very economical and pretty underpowered by modern standards -not a good choice for long drives or high mileage if you're considering a diesel. It's a simple engine that should prove cheap for repairs and servicing in the long run.

I really don't think the Fabia Reaction is a particularly good deal price wise though, when you compare it to the Roomster SEs that are virtually the same price.

What version is the Greenline that you're looking at -I or II? Hatch or estate?

Looking at this Greenline but seems to be overpriced compared to others ive seen (too far away)....

Just noticed the Reaction on the Website and thought it was a looker. Looked up on Parkers and economy on that engine is 51mpg combines so didnt think it was too bad.

My old Greenline II is up for sale with a ticket price of £1000 more than that if Horton's still have it -it's a 2011 with 40k miles (which does make that one look a little on the high side price wise) The II is better equipped than I, but some prefer the 1.4PD over the 1.2CR -personally I prefer the CR engine.

I doubt you'll get anywhere near the published figures for mpg -I reckon 40mpg would probably be more realistic for the reaction and the Greenlines will be in the mid to high 60s

Yeah I think the Greenline is winning on engine alone.

Whats the spec difference between I and II? apart from the engine of course! I beleive the II is EVEN more economical and free tax.

Hope I'm not breaking any rules here....? but where is your car advertised? I'm in Lincoln also.

You are not breaking any rules -it is not me selling the car. It's at Dennis Horton in Lincoln: Link Reg. number: FX61 YJJ

The Greenline II has energy recovery and start stop. It also has the full ESP system as standard, cat I alarm and a much better stereo with the excellent MDI interface as standard over the Greenline I.

I bought it from Horton's brand new in September 2011 and I had them fit the dealer fitted rear parking sensors -it's just been serviced and had new front tyres (Dunlop Bluresponse). I traded the car in a month ago for a new Octavia. Horton Skoda are the only people who have serviced the car save for the tyres who were fitted by Auto Exhaust and Tyres (off Tritton Road) whom I always use for..

I did have a full size alloy spare wheel in the car identical to the others with the tool kit -however I would not know if this was still with the car (as standard it came with a foam and a pump).

I have had two warranty claims on the vehicle:

A squeaky accelerator pedal that was replaced and the front and rear badges were changed on account of going white (common problem)
