What does it look like with the lower engine cover fitted?

If I had one, I'd tell you! Disappeared a long time ago.

Just smacked it on a speed bump :(

Lol - just to clear a few things up ;) It's Roo's old strut brace (steel I think) and it said it was for the Fabia on the sticker, so I'm pretty sure it's for the Fabia :D It never made it onto my car so I never tried to get it fitted or even see how it fitted, I'm afraid ...... maybe Roo can help out :D

Chris

I like the AA badge on the bonnet instead of the vRS one :)

I would take it off if i were you... it could cause serious damage to your suspension if you catch something with it... lets see, itll either pull your suspension geometry badly out of alignment, or if your lucky, itll rip/shear the bolts out of the mounting... hope youve got a spare subframe :(

Its obvious to me that it ain't supposed to go on that way up...

Like Colin says - likely to do some real damage if you knock something. I'd take it off if I were you... :(

FFS take it off before you drive. Have you tried it on the other ( rear ) side of the crossmember pointing upward.

I can just see the next post "Front axel ripped off "

Cheers dude. It's cos its a Skoda, geddit? I used to have it on my Polo, more so I could identify it in a car park.

OK - the brace is coming off tomorrow. Will have a look where else it could go, and maybe PM Roo to ask his opinion...
