Egr delete

Featured Replies

What can I expect from having an EGR delete I.e performance or mpg improvements or does it just improve smoothness at low speed, also how much does it cost(I'd be using shark)

well on my 2007 pd170 vrs I recieved the following after removing the EGR.

1) EML Light on straight away.

2) juddering greatly improved.

3) Hesitation almost gone completely

Then 2 days later (100 miles ish)

1) Regen light on.

2) car would not regen.

3) limp mode.

Car would not regen due to missing EGR

Fixed problem with the following:

1) Phoned Shark

2) Drove to Shark

3) Shark fixed car (EGR mapped out, DPF gutted and replaced, Stage 1 Map)

4) Drove home car trouble free (Lighter wallet)

Done 1000 miles ish now since and hasnt hickuped, bumped, stuttered, farted, hesitated, or juddered once.

Hope this helps lol :giggle:

Cheers, already had DDF removed and got a stage 1 all from shark, car had the judder from new

How much is it to get an egr removed?

depends where you go. Place local to me will do the dpf and egr delete plus map for £450. Other charge as much as £700+

One thing I will say is after looking at the skoda workshop manual the EGR system is massive and integrates a lot. The egr delete is normal replacing the egr valve and coding it out of the ecu. The rest of the system is just left dormant i'd guess
