Hey. New to Skoda's, new to forum

I have just recently purchased a 1.4 16v Fabia. Love it but it has a few niggles. When i start her up she makes a growling/screeching noise. It only lasts a second max, and does not happen all the time. Has any body got any clues what this could be?

Sounds like the starter motor bud. Its common on these and the vw's, etc... I just removed the starter motor and cleaned and greased all the insides. Cured the noise for a bit but I don't think I greased mine enough so will try again soon. But yeah, worth a go.
