Eric's developed a Clunk...........

Featured Replies

.........the Clutch clunks when you use it, towards the top end when letting it out

Is it the Stop/start system or not?

Well known problem, search on here and on the up! owners website.Think it needs a new pedal box or something.

Welcome to the club....are Skoda doing anything about it if reported to them?

My wife's has NO stop/start.

Mine does it but just assumed its a usual noise due to not having much sound proofing.

Things are looking UP then

As I mentioned in my 'A year with the Citigo' topic, If you have the clicking clutch pedal issue, report it to your dealer so that he can add it to the list of TPI 2032106/1 complainants - the solution could found more quickly if we all do that!

No click, but my clutch pedal lets out a brief, almost inaudible little wheezy sigh (like the toy penguin up on the shelf in the film Toy Story) just at the the top of it's travel...

That is your clutch pedal breathing a sigh of relief that he did not do the "Citigo clunk" :)

Well, mine did not have the clunck when i got it and on to the first 100 miles or so, then it came out of the blue and got worse on to 200 miles and now its gone !

Dont know if it will come back, but i really dont care, it is a mecanical problem, like connetion between arms/rods and not a clutch problem IMO.

Good thing if it's being talked about on the VW UP site too, at least it isn't just a Skoda problem and is obviously a "click or clunk" across the vehicle type.

Hopefully VW/Seat & Skoda will have enough reports to look at the issue properly.

My wife's is more of a noticeable click, not a clunk, just as the pedal gets to the top of its travel. The wife hasn't even noticed it but I did straight away.

I did not put the radio on first thing this morning and I noticed a faint click/clunk at almost fully off the clutch. Ours has only done just over 2K in 6 months. I will keep an eye on it and see if it gets any worse.

Mine has the click as well and has had from new. To be quite honest I just ignore it as I'm a good 20 miles from the nearest dealer and cannot be bothered with messing about. If something else happens they can sort it then.

My clutch has developed the clunk now. Will take it in Monday morning. Has been fine until I went to Manchester and back today doing a 102 mil round trip. Started doing it around mile 90.....
