So this is how my car is at the min on Audi a3 sport wheels.

Only put these on as my originals were that badly corroded they were losing air :( anyway I've been offered a set of standard vrs wheels with tyres that are meant to be in good condition but I haven't seen them yet will go tomorrow. Do I get them and put my 4 decent tyres on them and sell the audi wheels with the tyres off the vrs wheels (not sure what the tyres will be like) and leave them silver like how it looked before

Or have them black like this (did this to hide the corrosion but looked worse than when they were silver)

Or if they are indeed mint do them white :) or do you reckon persevere and wait for some better wheels?

Don't think I've ever seen white vrs wheels, could look quite good.. If your considering 17's I'd say persevere..

 

But if your just planning on sticking with 16's I'd say get the vrs wheels an It an paint 'em white, could always get them refurbed in white if they're abit shabby..

I personally like the black and silver standard wheels. Maybe a slight gun metal colour. I really like the standard wheels - only ones which I would prefer though are 16" spiders!

I'd love a set of 17s but I've just put 4 new tyres on last month so want to keep with 16s but there's not many about without spending stupid amounts and all the cheap 17s have the wrong size tyres fitted. I do like it on standard silver but I've had white wheels on a lot of of my old cars an its calling me again!! The only trouble with white is they need to be immaculate as they show up any marks and corrosion easily. I'd love some 16" spiders but never see them up for sale :(

Sounds like me, bought some 17s then changed my mind because of cost of tyres! And all the ones that have tyres fitted aren't tyres that I like!

I've found often 17's are cheaper than 16's as the size is more common. 

If I needed tyres I'd go for 17s but because I had to buy 4 tyres I want to keep with 16s. I am liking the silver wheels the more I look at it, if they are in good condition I'm gunna get them and run it like that then go white when I get bored of them. How much do you reckon I'd get for the audi wheels with tyres? Got to be worth about £80ish haven't they?

I dont like black wheels much, so silver would be my choice too.

They're not s3 wheels mate they're a3 sport wheels off of the 1.8t's. 16" same as the vrs wheels I did them black with a silver lip. Need to see what the tyres are like on the vrs wheels that will be going on them but I'd of thought £80ish if the tyres are decent

If I got my wheels done again I'd get them a nice bright silver dude, the more I look at pics of it before I got them powder coated the more I like it lol

Yep, they do look great. Chrome face with shadow chrome inserts looks superb too

Went to go look at the wheels on my way home from work but after being sat in traffic for over a hour on the a1 and then seeing a massive queue in town I thought sod that and come home. Rammed for 2 weeks with work so think they will be gone by the time I get up there :( the hunt continues!
