Kia Soul 2 grows, has round fog lamps...

Featured Replies

They've managed to make it look a lot nicer this time. I wonder if they will offer an all wheel drive version this time around?

Round lights... too little, too low. :)

Kia are making some decent cars now.

Gone are the days of cheap Korean ones, they are designed for Europe now and while the prices are higher the spec is usually quite good.

Yes, they have turned around and gone from a brand I wouldn't even consider to one, based on the example we have, we are very happy with.

Very much like Skoda.

I think it looks better than the first. Would quite like to see a very toned down basic version without styling add ons. It is just a bit showy for me in full spec.

For all those mourning the Yeti FL's lack of round fog lamps, I see the latest Kia Soul gets a size update (now Ceed based) AND has round fog lamps!

That 7 year warranty looks purpose built to attract private buyers, too...

Ah, but are these the "good" kind of big round lights that everyone adores on the Yeti, or the "bad" kind of big round lights that are utterly unacceptable to some people on the Juke?

Enquiring minds need to know.....

The one area they seem to lag behind on is the Engines. They are often nowhere near as fuel efficient as the competition.

They seem interestingly powerful though: 130bhp 1.6-litre petrol and a 164bhp 2.0-litre diesel.

I think that looks pretty neat. Like a less-contrived Citroen DS sort of thing.

Interestingly, I've covered a load of miles in the last month, mainly on A and B and C roads north of the country, and inevitably the only cars which made me turn my head in appreciation were Kia brand vehicles, of the most recent vintage. One or two Citroens did the same, mainly due to the level of bling to be seen!

I think that Kia, and to a lesser extent Hyundai have turned a definite corner in the styling and desirability departments, and the Kia Sportage, despite following the more common jelly mould shape, is about the only "Cross-SUV-over" that rivals the Yeti in looks.

Quirky design. Should appeal to some of the Yeti owners. I like it.

My brother has a Kia Soul top of the range with dragon designs over the paintwork.

Compared to my Yeti the quality is not there interior wise, but what is amazing is the vast amount of accessories you can get and very cheap from South Korea,

If you like your chrome bits and pieces you can change loads around the car,

I think the ride is hard, but looking at the coming changes they just might have a winner.

My brother loves Kia cars.just don,t ask how much when you trade in your old Kia compared to a Yeti second hand

Move over Yeti, meet the new postman pat van  :giggle:

That is uglier than me. And I've been wacked more than a few times with an ugly stick.

There have been a few complaints about the 7 year warranty on some of the caravanning sites. Seems there might be a few "problems" over exactly what is covered.

What, like you'll be guaranteed for 7 years to have a car that looks more hideous than your caravan?

I think only the drivetrain is guaranteed for the full 7 years, but can't prove that right now, with bits dropping off the warranty as the car ages.

While I believe they will try and get out of any warranty claim the same as any other manufacturer, I admit the feeling that the expensive stuff is covered for 7 years is better than the default 3 with Skoda.

Besides which, VAG also has some odd conditions on its warranty, such as wiring being exempt for some reason.
