What mesh for grille and bumper?

Featured Replies

Gonna do the mesh grille mod and possibly the bumper aswell but not sure which mesh will look best.

What mesh has been used before and pics to show would be great :)

I did my 4x4 front vents with rat grade square link mesh sprayed with BBQ paint :D better air flow than the plastic inserts and stops more rocks. Totally pikey but it works.

I used some honeycomb plastic mesh on my Fabia and my brothers Octy

I was going to go with this type of mesh and saw yours at combe and thought that it was nice.

The only think with it for me is that to me i think its abit to much of a modern look and draws your attention abit too much. Which for me is not really what i want to do. Main reason for doing it is the grille and one of the side vents are cracked and so may as well go for it i think.

Thanks for the pics tho will give it another look maybe :)

No worries mate, both cars are going to be at Combe so you can have another look :)

Itis quite a modern look admittedly, but it looks "sportier" than the standard grilles

I used smaller stuff when i did my bumper but its a pain to find it big enough to height wise for widemouth bumper, i ended up leaving rub strip intacted as i couldn't find any mesh bigger than 30cm altho i was in abit of a rush to get it done,
