Yeti XL for China (+60mm) incl. new facelift photos

I have just noticed the video below (also posted in the FL discussion thread). Finally some moving shots, and interestingly enough a start button can be seen at the beginning of the video. Does that imply keyless entry?

So FL Yetis will get a reversing camera and push-start button? Having seen the video, I think I prefer the pre-FL version, as the new one looks more van-like now, from certain angles at least.

Wonder if my pre-FL Sat-nav will not have a name on it like the one in the video? (I'm kind of sad like that, no adornments is good imo:the dealer stickers and any other extraneous stuff is ditched the first thing I get a new car!)

The new Yeti looks just like a car now.....

Is that correct?  I really don't know what the oily bits are on a Rapid.

Ooops, sorry! I blame the summer holidays - they've interfered with my forum-following...

I may be wrong but I think I read that in the UK at least all rear lights have to be visible when the hatch etc is open. So unless there is a clever swing mechanism for the spare wheel housing along with extra lights (and how much space it takes in the boot to fit it) it would be interesting to see how it works. I guess we'll see in due course.

Either way to swing the spare out of the way to access the boot could get tiresome unless there is a side hinge to the hatch.

You are indeed correct, your Hairyness. (Actually EU not just UK)

Hence a Yeti with the wheel on the back like that (without supplementary lights below the spare in the bumper) will never be sold in the EU. I also doubt they would ever export the Chinese built Yetis to Europe. And even if they do they will be left hand drive.

The front end of the Rapid is PQ25 but I find it strange that this Chinese version of the Yeti would be on a different platform to the European Yeti.

Likewise.  I think it is just bad journalism.  If you can call that article journalism.
