Led number plate light

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm wanting to change to these but have read a lot about these throwing up the bulb out warning light. Can someone point me to some that don't thow up this warning please.

Thanks in advance

Neil

I know Mike Holroyd has changed most of his bulbs, give him a shout, he'll probably have a good idea.

I've changed mine. I'll try and post a link to the one's I've got.

On my phone at the moment.

Thanks for the responses so far guys.

Simon thanks for the linky.

Would the year of registration make any difference to the bulbs I get? Or does that not make any difference to the canbus?

they are not cambus related light on the number plates

they are not cambus related light on the number plates

On the pre FL that's correct but on the FL they are.

On my Octavia RS (March 2012) i put some cheap led bulb and then enabled "license plate LED light" with VCDS and i have no errors.

As 'le Profesor' has said, yes, I have changed the number plate bulbs in both my Octavias to LEDs.

I use 3 SMD, ultra white 38mm festoon LED bulbs from Fizzmo on eBay. Fabulous next day delivery, and a great, long-lasting product too. If you do need the ballast resistors then they will supply these as well.

I can't recommend them highly enough.
