I've never seen them until I saw this thread and had a look on eBay. I really can't see how they would be any good.

I know its different, but I replaced my halogen 50w bulbs in my lounge for LED ones. The light output is no where near the same. I had to take them back in the end.

I personally think you've got to spend a lot of money to get decent LEDs, so may as well spend £35 and put an HID kit in them instead

There are a few different types of LED as I'm sure you already know.

Cree ones are really impressively bright but I bought a set and they were too large to fit through the hole in the housing.

I have a 200 lumen set in at the minute which work really well as daytime bulbs, they are very focused in the lens. as far as being any good in the fog, honestly they just aren't bright enough but I didn't think much of the halogens I had either.

There are loads of them here.

Cheers,

I was looking as i recently swapped out my standard Head light bulbs for "Uprated" H4 Halogens, which are pretty decent.

But... because they are a much whiter light (10% according to the manufactures, seems more compared to the S%^& that was in my car..)

the Fog bulbs now to be border line orange when turned on with them.

saw the Leds and thought "hmmmmm..."

Might end up going down the Hid kit route, if i decide to hold the car for another year.

probably will too, as im just approaching 150k miles, and i reckon she's due a treat or 2 for a being a good girl the past 18months

From below, from above and two together. Sidelights are LED bulbs also, very nice warm crisp colour. Funny thing is, both sidelight and foglight LEDs were bought as warm white colour and they are very different. they're not as blue as they look in the photo though. I have plugged in the CREE bulbs and they are the same colour as the sidelights and very bright too just a pity they didn't fit.
