Hi guys, my mate manage to break my bonnet stray by trying to close the bonnet, thinking i had gas struts, now i was wondering if anyone had replaced there manual one with a gas one? If so was there much modification if any, and wheres the best place to get them?

You could make your own. Buy a 'pair of gas strut end fittings 10mm ball' from ebay to suit your car and experiment with scrapyard struts till you find the right length and power.

yeah ill give it a shot, think the boot ones would be strong enough? would have been handy if those kits were still for sale
