Passenger Wing Mirror Not Tilting In Reverse

Featured Replies

Have had my Superb Elegance for nearly a month now. Great car. Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but when I first got the car the passenger wing mirror tilted in reverse. I have been trying various things out including automatic folding of both wing mirrors. Since then the passenger wing mirror no longer tilts. Does this feature have to be reset and if so how. I have tried following the manual without success.

Do you leave the knob in the L position when selecting reverse? Also check it is enabled in the maxidot

Hi Nathanio

Thanks - yes to both

Are you using the same key as before?

To set the reverse dip you stuck gear in reverse, mirror switch to passenger side, and adjust the passenger mirror manually to where you want it. Then out of reverse, flick the switch over to driver's side and passenger mirror should go back to normal setting.

If you have an electric drivers seat try selecting each position in turn, then reverse with Mirror selector in L position.

I think the mirror position can be set for each seat position? Maybe the mirror position has not been altered for each seat position........I think !!

You have to set the mirrorsetting in the memory.

Set your seats, push set, push 1, hear the bong and it's in the memory.

Then put your car in reverse, tilt the side mirror the way you want it to be, push set, push 1, hear the bong and it's in the memory.

Beware though if you have "move both mirrors at once" active in the maxidot, moving 1 mirror will affect the other. So de-select that feature to set the reversing mirror.

Can be set for the 3 memory settings individually, and matched to the keyfob. Works good on mine!

Thanks Too Tall

It is now working fine. I guess I should have read the manual a bit closer!!
