Evening fellow bloggers.....

 

I need some advice about what would be the best shampoo for my seats in the vrs.....I have had a ganders at a few posts but not fully representative to what seats i have...(well not fully anyway)...

 

The seats i have are the same as these below....

 

I'm looking for something that will clean the white / great bits and the material part..... I also want to know what people use to buff up the leather.

When I had the silver parts I used to use a dedicated Alcantara product, the one I used was from Autobrite, I cant remember the exact process for using it, but it was very easy and not too expensive, as for the leather, there are plenty of products out there to choose from the only issue is that some leave it like an as new look i.e. like a satin style finish, some leave it glossy etc, some are all in ones, some you buy as a cleaner then a conditioner.  Its really personal choice.

 

Although, my recommendation, and I have mentioned it one here several times before is to make the alcantara bits easy clean and keep them lookin good is to use a fabric protector, my choice is Gtech i1, a 100ml bottle is plenty to do the material and alcantara parts of your seats and also your carpet mats, just spray it on, it mists out of the bottle, let it dry, job done, it lasts around 6-8 months, and any spillages, mess etc you just simply wipe it up with a damp cloth, like a microfibre or something to mop things up.  When I bought mine with the black alcantara, I treated all my alcantara and a few days later I put a milk bottle on the seat not realsing the top was slightly split, it made a mess on the seat, I simply dampened down a MF cloth and mopped it up, wiped it over, job done, as good as new and no nasty smells from a dairy product hung around!  I expect other products like Scotchgard etc would be just as good but just passing on my experience, for the cost of the bottle around a tenner its well worth it :-)

Perfecto...... I saw a little stain on one of the seats and hate stuff like that so wanted to know what best product people buy....I will have a shop around on Amazon for Alcantara products, cause sometimes they have these all in one offers that come with some nice cloths and so forth. The leather bits i just want to buff up a bit, being a second hand car there are a few scuff marks which i just want gone....Very tiny but just like them to be a little cleaner.....

And if you like a nice easy clean car, then whack a coat of this one instead or as well as a wax, takes 10 mins, and beads and sheets water like crazy and dirt struggles to stick to it!!!
