Featured Replies

having ordered SWMBO's citigo 2nd of april we get it tomorrow :)

been out to dealers today, sorted most of paperwork and just have final few signatures in the morning then its OURS

saw the car today they were just finishing prep on it, red elegance greentech, with safety pack, convience pack and entertainment pack, spare wheel (no can of goo :) ) and 5 year warranty

swmbo appears actually to be getting a little excited FINALLY

Awesome, I'm getting my white sport on Monday :-D went to see it on Wednesday! They have had it for two weeks now lol

Hope it all goes well for you! And will look forward to the obligatory pictures!

Happy times

Enjoy the pick up, great feeling

Cheers

initial impression after 70 miles of playing today

WWWOOOWWW!!!!!

we only had a short test drive, and like my GLII the idea was to save money with an economical car that was low monthly payments

so getting the car today was a bit of an unknown, SWMBO was expecting something a bit like her old 1.3 ford KA she had for a few months

but the little 1.0 engine is far better, pulls like a train from low down, wants you to be in 5th from 30-35mph ??? but it works

PID, got it working easily, downloading map update as I type, got it synced on Bluetooth to phone and ipod, it new a new road which was only opened a few months back, did manage to confuse it once when I turned off to a new supermarket which is due to open tomorrow, gave directions in good time to make turn / lane change

reversing sensors start beeping at about 4 feet, first red line on pid at 1 foot, final red line at about 6 inches,

radio with the extra speakers is great, love the name "funky" far better and more fun than balero or the other boring names on the other models

dash, nice, love the white dash illumination, shame the information panel at the bottom is not illuminated to the same level as the dials when the lights are not on made seeing some of the information difficult in certain lighting conditions today

road holding, I was looking for glue on the tyres although did not push it to far to the limits but positive steering went where it was ment to, only slightly negative comment is the ride was a little harder than I expected but not an issue, just not what I expected

seating, good position suitable for swmbo at 5 foot nothing and me at 6 foot , seats very comfortable more on long journeys once we have done a few, rear leg room good enough for daughter

Good to hear you're happy!

Collecting our sport tomorrow and I'm more excited than the wife lol

Would be good to see some pics too! Hopefully will see you at a briskoda meet sometime!

Great little review! Thanks :-D

Same as vtectransplant picking my white sport up tomorrow! Can't wait!

ours is a little unique, the only 52 reg citigo I am aware of, due to swmbo not wanting to remember a new reg number

Sounds like a great little car. Finally collecting my brand new white Citigo sport tomorrow afternoon after a long 6 week wait. Really looking forward to driving my 1st brand new Skoda since 2007

I drove my wife's citigo today after 3 months off, still can't get over how it drives like a much bigger car. My wife totally loves it...she says it is the best and easiest car she has ever had, we have had many, many cars over the years!

So glad you enjoyed your first proper drive, it will keep on growing on you every day you drive it.

Enjoy it.

Love this. The handling is fantastic.

just taken it out to see what the lights are like,

overall pleased with the lights, full beam has good distance , dipped lights the side well but distance seemed a little short

confused by the couple of second delay between putting side lights on and the panel illumination coming on, (any idea of light source? LED or cold cathode tubes?)

only thing I have noted so far is the small green info panel at the bottom of the speedo has a number of very small icons which are difficult to work out by glancing down at it, which could lead to someone being distracted trying to work out something on there, have got to RTFM a few of those later to work them out

have 3 minor annoyances

1:- dreaded clutch pedal click

2:- seat belt on 3 door is really far back to reach

3:- where you plug the seatbelt in is not in the normal position and I can't get it in the hole :(

2:- seat belt on 3 door is really far back to reach

Agree with you there, it is quite a reach back. Might have to invest in some of those grab handles you can buy

I can't get it in the hole :(

:giggle:

Sorry, childish I know

I think its something you get used to the position its in the more you drive it

boy does it take a long time to update the PID maps, only have 2 meg on my broadband, took 3.5 hours

just got to register for the cheap updates

what the safety camera map like? worth it?

I still have AGES till I collect my white Elegance (well, ages less one day, since I ordered it just yesterday) but have been wondering whether there is an online guide to the functions of the PID.

Tried a few searches but couldn't see much beyond what appears to have been a recent re-branding from Navigon to Garmin...

Cheers.

yes there is an online guide

https://skoda.garmin.com/skoda/site/support

there is a voucher for 80% off 2 years map updates (you pay £16.12) and 50% off "fixed" safety camera updates (you pay £12.50)

also 50% off Michelin green guide an points of interest packages, all only valid 30 days for first usage or 31/12/2014 (yes 2014) which ever first

seems to have fun connecting via blue tooth to a iPod nano g6, pairs ok but then after a few uses takes ages to connect, doesn't seem to matter if put into standby or shutdown

Thanks for the link and that info :)

couple of other minor annoyance,

no variable delay on the intermittent wipers, used to it on fabia

and no foot rest by the clutch

but I suppose the have to keep some toys for the bigger models

one other thing no warning light for front fogs?

no variable delay on the intermittent wipers, used to it on fabia

You know I don't miss that one bit - mainly cos I got really OCD about it and was constantly tinkering with the setting. It drove me up the wall. Not literally, though.

well, just filled up after 1 week and 309miles of fun

27.54 litres of morrison's unleaded @ £134.9 /l

total £37.15

53.9 PID mpg

54.46 calculate mpg

11.3pence per mile cost :)

one other minor point noticed last night, no light in the boot
