Angel Eyes?

^  lol..

i would be lieing if i said i didnt like the 1st pic.  that does look quite mean.

The top pic would be way better if they had sprayed the non-essential reflectors black.

Are you going for a look or uprated lighting? If its just the look Id go for the spraying of the lenses, There is a thread on here from someone who did it and it does look good, you could even DIY some DRLs if you wanted! It only costs a can of paint and some time. Ill dig up the thread if I can find it :)

I've often thought with this kind of thing, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Once you start modding, where will it all end?  Here's how my Rallye could look with a lot of effort, time and money.

Each to their own I guess.

True... but modding a car is all about styling. That thing you've posted is a bit "Max Power" - you can't honestly say that my Corsa (pic on previous page) is anything like that?

No, not at all.  The Corsa looks alright because you knew when to stop.  The odd cosmetic mod here and there can improve on what the manufacturer created.  It's when people meddle with what was already there and make things worse.  Some of the Irmscher stuff looks quite nice if done correctly but as I mentioned, buying the whole catalogue and sticking it on one car usually ends up in tears.

The Octavia is a good looking car anyway.  Having seen people try to improve it since I joined Briskoda many years ago there have been some great successes and some real disasters.  I think the thing that makes me wary of angel eyes is that they can make it seem the owner is trying to recreate an E36 Beemer on a budget.

I actually removed my angel eyes from my old e36 because of the amount of corsa/saxos/106 that tried to copy.

At the end of the day, the angel eye headlamps are for BMWs, I've never seen any other car pull it off.

I've spent a lot of time, money & effort to make it look standard again.  As I said, each to their own.

On another note, the Cavalier looks great.  I saw John Cleland race his round Knockhill last year at the BTCC, it brought a nostalgic tear to my eye that did.
